Do you come to my home to replace a car battery?
Yes. Via Tire replaces car batteries at your home or workplace across Lewisville, Plano, Frisco, Denton, Coppell, McKinney and Grapevine, as well as at our Lewisville shop. The free installation offered at the parts counter assumes you can get the car there, which is the one thing a dead battery makes difficult. Our technicians are already driving to homes and workplaces every day to fit tires, so a battery is a short visit at an address that suits you. You do not need a jump, a tow or a favor from a neighbor, and you do not spend a Saturday morning on it.
How much does a car battery cost at Via Tire?
Car batteries at Via Tire start at around $150. Installation is $75, and mobile service at your home or workplace adds a $50 call-out fee.
How long is the Duralast warranty?
Duralast free replacement runs from two to five years depending on the line:
- Duralast, two years
- Duralast Gold, three years
- Duralast Platinum EFB, three years
- Duralast Platinum AGM, four years
- Duralast Platinum Elite, five years
How do I know if my car battery is dying?
A dying battery usually gives warning first: slow cranking on a cold morning, headlights that dim at idle, or a battery light on the dashboard. In Texas heat they often fail sooner than the label suggests, because heat is harder on a battery than cold is. A battery check costs nothing at our Lewisville shop, and you can walk in for one. If it still has life in it we will tell you so. We would rather you replace it on a Tuesday afternoon you chose than on a morning you did not.
Do you charge a call-out fee for mobile battery service?
Yes. Mobile battery service has a $50 call-out fee, on top of the battery and the $75 installation.
Do you jump start cars or come out to a breakdown?
No. Via Tire does not do jump starts or breakdown call-outs. We replace batteries at your home, your workplace or our Lewisville shop.
