Can you get my size the same day?
Same-day availability covers most commercial sizes, because we do not keep a shelf of truck tires and hope yours is on it. Our distributor is fifteen minutes from the shop, so we order the 22.5 or 24.5 inch tire your truck actually calls for and have it the same day in most cases. You get the correct size, the correct load rating and the correct tread for the position, instead of whatever a shop happened to stock. What is the difference between steer, drive and trailer tires?
Steer, drive and trailer tires differ in tread pattern, depth and how they carry load, which is why a commercial tire is not a passenger tire in a larger size. A steer tire carries different tread and inflation requirements than a drive or trailer position, duals have to be matched so one tire is not carrying its neighbor's load, and wheel ends have to be torqued to spec. We service all three positions, and we handle mounted wheel swaps on commercial truck wheel and tire assemblies, including semi trucks and 18-wheelers.
Where can I get semi truck tires near I-35E?
Our shop is at 685 South Stemmons Freeway in Lewisville, directly on the I-35E corridor, so getting to us does not mean leaving your route. We are open seven days a week including Sundays, which is unusual for truck work and useful when a Saturday is the only day a truck is free.
Can a fleet open a commercial account?
Fleets can be set up on a commercial account and invoiced rather than paying at the counter. When you call you reach someone at the shop who can tell you what we can do and when, not a dispatch queue.
Do you offer roadside or 24-hour service for semi trucks?
No. Via Tire does not offer roadside or 24-hour service for semi trucks. Truck tire work is done at our Lewisville shop during opening hours, seven days a week.
Do you do DOT inspections, retreads or heavy truck alignment?
No. We sell and install semi truck tires in steer, drive and trailer positions and handle mounted wheel swaps. We do not carry out DOT inspections, retread or manage casings, and we do not align tractors.
What tire sizes do you handle?
We service standard commercial sizes in 22.5 and 24.5 inch, ordered to the load rating and tread the position calls for. Not every size is in stock at all times, so call (682) 842-8473 with the size written on your sidewall and we will confirm availability.
